The multi-award-winning OWAconsult collection designed by Hadi Teherani wins the ICONIC AWARD: Innovative Architecture – Best of Best.

Another Best of Best goes to OWA. Following on from internationally renowned awards such as the German Design Award, iF Award and Red Dot: Best of the Best, Odenwald Faserplattenwerk GmbH has now also won the ICONIC AWARD: Innovative Architecture. OWA has once again distinguished itself amid a wide variety of award-winning achievements in the architecture, construction, real estate and manufacturing industries. “More freedom for creative interior design is a key element in the success emerging from our long-standing partnership with Hadi Teherani,” explains Managing Director Maximilian von Funck.

The modular set of building blocks comprises seven different systems, which open up brand new potential for planners and tradesmen to create bespoke ceiling designs. The different product lines allow an integrated approach to planning, at the same time fulfilling the highest construction requirements. Flexo, Pix, Oriental and Trapeze are designed for non-perforated ceilings, while Square, Cloud and Corpus provide a ceiling canopy as an open design. This allows for the creation of ceilings full of character, guaranteeing more design freedom in any kind of space and across all sectors. The systems are complemented by LED modules to create stunning and innovative lighting effects.

Giving its customers individual design freedom and maximum creativity has always been extremely important to OWA. Hadi Teherani’s maxim has turned this aspiration into a pioneering design concept: “My holistic approach has always taken me beyond the usual boundaries of creativity.” And so, the new ‘Best of Best’ title at the ICONIC AWARDS 2018 marks another high point in OWA’s corporate development and promotes its successful international growth.

In the ICONIC AWARD 2018: Innovation Architecture, the German Design Council has established an international architecture and design competition, which supports the direct interplay between the various disciplines. As one of the world’s most important centres of expertise for design and architecture, the German Design Council acts as an interface between designers and the construction industry. Its awards enjoy international acclaim as an independent seal of approval for contemporary designs and creative developments.
