    A SIMPLE SUSPENDED DESIGN FOR ROOM ACOUSTICs

    Retrofitted suspended baffle Cloud in the Audi Training Centre at the Munich Airport provide a quiet room atmosphere and good audibility. The project to improve the acoustic environment was realised extremely quickly and without encroaching on the existing ceiling.

    The black ceiling tiles in the Sinfonia surface pattern with the quality black main tees in the System S 3 generate both visually and acoustically the muted amtosphere typical and desired for amusement arcades.

    Designer ceiling in a modular format mix

    For the conversion into a library, the structure of the supermarket originally located on the premises was to remain deliberately recognisable. For this reason, the new ceiling system Flexo does not conceal the beams but sets an accent all of its own with its creatively mixed tile formats within the supporting structure made from reinforced concrete. Acoustics and light reflection appropriate to a library could thus be achieved with no loss of room height.

    Even behind and under the stands of this large stadium things have to get rolling. There’s a congress and conference area, restaurants, shops, offices for administration and ticket sales, changing and treatment rooms, lounges for VIP and press receptions, workshops, hallways – and many more rooms. And they all need functional and beautiful ceilings.

    Installation of the standard S 3 system for offices, corridors, foyers and event areas. The foyer of the event and VIP area with a light field illuminated in the club colours of red and white, integrated into the acoustic ceiling with a surrounding frieze.

    When reconstructing the clubhouse for the Norddeutscher Regattaverein (NRV) (North German regatta club) in Hamburg, the rooms were intentionally designed with suspended ceilings according to each individual function and significance despite the very low ceiling heights. Various ceiling systems with and without gaps as well as with and without tiled partitioning integrate the succession of rooms into a homogeneous ensemble by use of recurring design features.

    A special ball impact-resistant ceiling design (S 3 bws) was used in the gym and weights rooms. The ceilings with the surface Sinfonia are protected against hard ball impact.

    The "Metalwork" ceiling is deliberately technical and functional with exposed ventilation ducts. The frieze-like bordering of the ducts meant that the tiles did not have to be cut to size, resulting in a harmonious appearance with uniform tile sizes.

    "EISERN lounge" with good acoustics

    The name "Eisern Lounge" alludes to the war cry of the "Eisern Union“ fans and also reflects the industrial motif of the entire building design.The tile Sinfonia with the system S 3 has good acoustic properties and complies with the safety regulations.
