“Speech privacy” is the US term for an acoustic requirement wherever people get together to communicate and conduct business. This includes ticket offices, hotel foyers, service points, call centres and open-plan offices. These settings require acoustic “islands” to ensure undisturbed one-on-one conversations. Frequently, the interior design and basic acoustic configuration of a room does not meet requirements.

Special acoustic solutions are needed to create speech privacy. The trend towards flexible room partitioning in open-plan offices makes necessary individual acoustic measures to create an atmosphere with the lowest stress possible for changing individual workplaces.

OWA presents a new universal solution for this complex range of tasks: mobile acoustic canopies now being marketed as OWAcoustic^® vela.

OWAcoustic^® vela – pre-assembled acoustically active canopies made of high-quality mineral wool tiles measuring 1250 x 1250 mm – can be installed apart or in a group of any size.

The new line is also impressive in design. The modules are available in concave, convex and linear variations surrounded by a silver-coloured profile. The face sides of the tiles correspond to the Cosmos plus design.
