Fair faced concrete, granite and a lot of glass determines the architecture of the building. In the Bank Call-Centre, the difficulty in concentrating while working was attributed to the hard sound-reflecting surfaces.

An active heating / cooling concrete soffit precluded the installation of a closed suspended ceiling as a solution.

System S 12d vertical hung baffles in combination with high-absorbing OWAcoustic^® wall absorbers were put into action. The use of a ‘Double Strategy’ – using walls and ceilings to lower the reverberation time, resulted in a reverberation time of 0.65 s against 1.03 s prior to installing the acoustic measures.

To supplement the hanging baffle system S 12d, wide band absorbers were utilized. These acoustic elements have the ability to absorb sound over the entire frequency range. They supplement the hanging baffle system, whose absorbing effect sits in the most important middle and high frequency ranges.

The acoustic concept for this project was to place the absorbers into the spaces between the windows of the exterior facade. The absorbers were hung on the walls, just like pictures.
